Fun 4th of July Pictures

I know, I know!!! It is December, snowing, and cold as can be and I am posting pictures from the middle of summer! Think I am dreaming of that 100 degree weather as I sit here all bundled up with my box of tissues, hot cocoa, and cold meds!!

Some where in the middle of No where!

Drive home from New Mexico

Here are the rest of the "driving" pictures. It is amazing to me at how there is just nothing for the longest time. But then if you actually pay attention to the nothingness, it is extremely beautiful! I can't even fathom what it would have been like to cross this windy, hot, barren land on horse back!! It took all day in the car.
Here at home, we have plain old brown dirt. I didn't know that it came in different colors!

Sleep (or not) over

Kristina is having a sleep over tonight. So of course, there is not much sleeping going on! The girls; Trista, Sarah, Mikayla, and Kristina, decided that they were ravenous at 1 am! So......I am blogging while they are eating, watching a movie, and giggling up a storm!! I don't know how Don and Devin are sleeping!

Water Park Fun!

It is tradition that Grandpa take the kids to the water park every time we go to visit. They had never been to this park before, and had a blast. The slides were as big a hit to the kids, as the shade umbrellas and lounge chairs were to Grandpa!!! I don't see how he can stand to wear jeans in 100 degree weather!

Hole in the Rock

That's one BIG lizard!! We found him 'climbing' around in the middle of nowhere on our drive home from New Mexico. I am pretty sure that we were in Utah, this was at the Hole in the Rock. We didn't go inside this trip, so no pics of the house inside of the mountain. It is really neat though. A definite tourist trap, but a great place to look around!
If you look right above the rock in the black and white with a bit of color in the middle picture, you will see the big lizards live 'little' brother.

Mama's Little Angel!

This is definitely one of my favorite pictures of Devin. I know that I am his mom, but I just think that he is so handsome!! This was taken at Paradise Point Episcopal Church Camp in McCall, Idaho. This was Devin's (and mine) last year for beginners camp. Next year he will go solo! Hope I can deal with that!!
The water was only 57 degrees this day. I think that the kids are crazy for getting in, but they do every year. The thing that really amazes me, is that they never seem to get sick either!

I miss you Sissy!

Hey sis............

Mom and I had fun hanging out at the Fiddle Festival today! We ate lunch there and had HUGE ice cream cones. We even had pizza for dinner and watched some performances. We even got you some presents, and Mammy too! So very sorry you had to hang out at the dentist's office with Mam! HA HA HA!!! But I do love you and miss you and am very excited that mom and I are going to camp tomorrow. Give Boopie loves for me. Take care of your little mascot!

Going Mexican!

We went to this GREAT Mexican food resturant with Grandma in New Mexico. The kids and I thought the place was really neat. I was really good about writing down the names of the tree-things in front of the building. I also wrote down the name of all the peppers hanging up and the name of the resturant. Of course I can't find where I wrote them down at, that is just so like me! The only thing that I can remember is that the tree-things are New Mexico's stat plant (and I am too lazy to look it up!). Despite my bad memory , I do know that the food and the company were most enjoyable!

WARNING!!! Don't drink milk while viewing these pictures!

......that there cat is gonna get skinned (shaved)......

Tomorrow morning we take Sally, our fluffy kitty to the vet, bright and early. She is going to get all of her long hair shaved off! We do it because it is just too hot for her during the summer here. She also gets sticker burrs and sheet grass stuck in her fur that we can't get out and they dig their way into her skin. She is quite the prowling traveler of the field behind our house.
We love her so much, but laugh pretty hard for about a week after she is shaved. She is the source of amusement for the neighborhood for a couple of weeks too!! I truly believe that she is extremely embarrassed for the first few days. She certainly acts like it.
I am still working on posting pics from our trip to New Mexico, as well as having been sick for a few days after getting back, the ENDLESS pile of laundry, and getting ready to go to church camp with Devin.
I will definitely get a before and after picture of the cat on here as soon as I can.

Hanging out with family in New Mexico

We had tons of fun hanging out with Uncle Brian, Aunt Senica, and Cousin Elija. It was nice to be able see everyone. It was our first time to see Eli and Kris and Devin wanted to attend to his every need! I think that he was in some one's arms almost all of his waking hours while we were there!
